Cause of error:

This error code appears due to a communication problem with the RCS. You won’t see the error code on the RCS, but your machine will remain stuck at the Welcome message and not move to the next step.

Solution:

Inspect the connection between the RCS plug, RCS unit, the connector of the machine, and the B board. Make sure it is not too loose or damaged.

Otherwise, try using another RCS unit to find out which part has the problem.

ELNA sewing machine error code E01

Cause of error:

When the stepping motor initializes incorrectly OR it does not initialize at all, the error code E01 appears.

Solution:

Turn off the sewing machine.

While the sewing machine is off, move the head towards needle #4, move the carriage unit to the front, and then towards the right. Now turn on the sewing machine and see what does not calibrate.

Cause of error:

The error code E02 indicates a needle bar changeover.

Solution:

  1. Turn off the sewing machine and restart.
  2. Remove the stationary cover of your sewing machine and rotate the handwheel to bring it to the 270 degrees C position.

Now turn the silver gear on the needle-change step motor by using a 2.5mm hex driver and bring it from needle bar 1 to 4 and then back from needle bar 4 to 1. It will help you check if there are any binds. If you find a bind, you will have to adjust the head play.

After that, you need to check and adjust the needle stop position and the moving head stop position.

ELNA sewing machine error code E03

Cause of error:

If the needle bar is out of position, you will see the error code E03 on the screen.

Solution:

Press the OK button to move the needle bar to a switching position.

Remove the stationary cover, and move the handwheel to the 270 degrees C position. Use a 2.5mm hex drive to turn the silver gear on the needle change step motor and move the head from needle bar #1 to #4 and then back from #4 to #1 and check for any binds.

Check and adjust the needle stop position and the moving head stop position.

ELNA sewing machine error code E04

Cause of error:

The error code E04 means there is something wrong with the DC motor.

Solution:

  1. Clean the DC motor sensor and also check if the shield plate is not hitting the sensor or it is too loose. If you find the shield plate or sensor on the DC motor damaged, you will have to replace the motor.
  2. Try resetting the DC motor. Hold the Bobbin Winder and Forward buttons on the RCS unit and turn on the sewing machine. Press the clear button and turn off your machine.

ELNA sewing machine error code E05

Cause of error:

The error code E05 appears when the thread is broken due to any reason.

Sometimes, it appears even if the thread is not broken because it is just the sewing machine that thinks the thread is broken and hence shows you this error.

Solution:

Remove all the broken threads and then rethread the sewing machine.

If there is no broken thread but you are still getting this error message, check the connections, needle bar height, hook timing, presser bar height, etc. Otherwise, replace the circuit board.

Cause of error:

When the thread cutter of your sewing machine malfunctions, you get error code E07 on the screen.

Solution:

Inspect the thread cutter linkage and check for any binds. Check if the connections are not too loose or damaged.

When the tension discs of your sewing machine are open, you get the error code E08.

The error code E1 is displayed when there is a problem with the Zigzag motor.

  1. Check the connections of your Zigzag motor.

The error code E1 means a problem with the zigzag motor of your machine.

Turn off the machine and move the needle bar left and right several times. Feel the friction of the motor.

Remove any threads or fabric tangled in the gears of the motor.

Replace the zigzag motor if it is broken or if there is another necessary reason.

Error code E2
